Ben is Co-Founder of MasteringGM. With a storied history of teaching, consulting, and leading workshops globally, Ben’s expertise in Global Mobility, international leadership, and human resource management is both profound and practical.

Ben’s role as a Business Professor, keynote speaker, trainer, and consultant has taken him across the world, advocating for the future of cross-border mobility and spearheading discussions on the nuances of managing international assignments. His insights on navigating the digital transformation and excelling in cross-border leadership during the digital age are sought after by professionals eager to stay ahead of the curve.

A trained and certified LEGO® Serious Play Advanced Systems Facilitator and a DesignSprint 2.0 Facilitator, Ben employs innovative methodologies to achieve the best learning outcomes. His unique approach engages participants, fostering creativity and problem-solving to tackle complex Global Mobility challenges.

His first-hand experiences as an expatriate in the United States, Canada, Denmark, and the UK have endowed him with a deep empathy and understanding of the expatriate journey, enriching the services MasteringGM offers. This, paired with his academic prowess – a PhD with highest distinction from the University of Hamburg and currently serving as Associate Professor at Newcastle University, a triple-accredited Business School – and roles as a visiting professor and external lecturer at prestigious institutions, cements his reputation as an authority in the field.

As an advisory board member of the Lean Group in Germany and, since 2024, a member of the supervisory board of Leada AG, Ben stays at the forefront of international HR & mobility trends, contributing significantly to a network of thought leaders in gloabl leadership and Global Mobility data and analytics. He has worked with and consulted top tier organizations, such as adidas, Lufthansa, Deutsche Bahn, Sandoz (Novartis), or Merrill Lynch.

As a Professor of International Human Resource Management and the Course Director of an MSc in Management program at Cranfield University, a triple-accredited Management School, Michael brings academic excellence and cutting-edge research to the foundation of MasteringGM.

With an illustrious career that includes consulting for leading multinational corporations across various industries, Michael’s practical insights are informed by his extensive work with organizations like PricewaterhouseCoopers, Oracle, and Siemens, as well as humanitarian and government agencies including the United Nations​.

His global experience, paired with his authoritative research on HR strategies and international mobility, positions him as a pivotal educator for those navigating the complexities of global careers.

A polyglot with fluency in English and Spanish, Michael’s international outlook is deeply embedded in MasteringGM’s ethos, ensuring that the platform caters to a diverse global audience. His scholarly works, which include several books on IHRM, Global Mobility, and Careers, along with his role as the Senior Editor-in-Chief of The International Journal of Human Resource Management, attest to his dedication to advancing the field through knowledge dissemination and thought leadership​.

Robin is a Professor in International Business and consultant. His expertise interests include workplace integration of migrants and refugees, global alliance management, and strategic decision-making under deep uncertainty. His research received several international awards. Robin is a member of the GLOBE 2020 project, dedicated to leading in Global Leadership. Before joining Northumbria University, he held academic positions at Newcastle University and the University of Bayreuth in Germany.

Christoph is Managing Director of the German-based LEAN Group and is an expert in LEAN principles and project management. Previously with Porsche Consulting, Christoph is now partner in his own company, consulting organizations optimizing their processes all over the world. His expertise in improving effectiveness and efficiency in organizations is invaluable and he is in charge of our MasteringGM LEAN GM program, dedicated to achieve perfection in setting up and running GM processes.
